In this latest update, we’ve implemented several key systems and features to improve both gameplay and performance. Here's a breakdown of what has been added:
- Room System with Enemies:
- We've successfully created a system that dynamically loads and transitions between rooms, each populated with unique enemy types. These enemies have been integrated with our AI framework and will scale in difficulty as the player progresses.
- Basic Inventory System:
- A simple inventory system has been added, allowing players to collect, manage, and use items. The interface is intuitive, making it easy for players to swap equipment, use consumables, and inspect their collected items.
- Graphical Options Menu:
- A dedicated options menu is now in place, providing players with a range of graphical settings. This includes the ability to change resolutions, toggle V-Sync, and fine-tune performance for their systems. We aim to provide flexibility to players regardless of hardware.
- Audio Manager and Channels:
- A new audio management system has been developed, separating sound effects and music into distinct channels. This allows for finer control over individual sound elements and will enable us to apply different effects (such as reverb, distortion, etc.) to each channel in the future for a more immersive audio experience.
- Background Music:
- Music has been added to enhance the atmosphere of the game. Each room or scene will now have its own theme, ensuring that the player’s experience is fully supported by a dynamic and adaptive soundtrack.
These updates bring us closer to delivering a polished and immersive experience. Stay tuned for further enhancements as we continue to fine-tune these systems and add more content.
